About Dr. Cassandra Guercia

Dr. Guercia completed her bachelors degrees in Psychology and Spanish at Roger Williams University, and her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology at William James College, where she also obtained a Master of Arts in Professional Psychology. She also completed a concentration in Latinx Mental Health at William James College, and is proficient in Spanish. She fulfilled her post-doctoral fellowship at LifeStance Health, formerly Child and Family Psychological Services, in Norwood, MA and continued on as a staff psychologist with LifeStance Health before transitioning to private practice. Her graduate school training consisted of experience in schools (K-12), community mental health, and an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s inpatient psychiatry unit and Rhode Island College Counseling Center as part of the William James College Consortium. Her doctoral dissertation studied Latinx First-Generation College Students' Meaning - Making about Relational Resilience and Resistance. She is professionally licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.​

 

Dr. Guercia resides in Rhode Island with her husband and their dog, Jameson. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, being by the water, practicing yoga, reading, watching favorite shows, and spending quality time with family and friends.
